Haymon Associated promoters have been been using this "purse bid" strategy very effectively to get their fighters bigger purses.

They let the champion's team/network acquire a date and a proposed site then use the threat of winning the purse bid, and thus losing the date and site, to get their fighter a higher percentage then they are entitled to.

My guess is they make a deal before the bid.

Khan is just trying to make Brook go through what he went through with Mayweather and Pacquiao. Hearn nows this and he wont let it happen.

I think that was common sense on part of spence's team

He will dominate. The first 3 rounds will be tight, then from round 4 onwards Spence will dominate and stop Brook in the 7th or 8th round. Mark my words.

Haymon was hoping Brook would vacate IMO, as did a lot of Spence fans, tough luck he's going to have to earn the belt in the ring. Brook by KO.......
I'd heard that Hearn had made an offer to Spence last year and they said he wasn't ready. Also he made an offer for Danny Garcia earlier last year but they turned down the fight saying they were waiting on Floyd's next move as Garcia would have been the opponent if he come back last September.

It's no wonder Brook went up to fight GGG, he couldn't get any top WW's in the ring. Hearn always said they say one thing to the camera but once it gets down to business their teams always say "we're going in another direction".

Anyway, i think Brook beats Spence.

Except Floyd and Manny are genuine stars. Khan hasn't been a world champ in over 5 years and couldn't even sell out his last fights in the UK, the arena had a lot of empty seats. The TV companies here in the UK weren't even bothered about showing his fight against arguably the biggest active fighter in boxing in Canelo, BoxNation picked it up in the end but 4 years ago that would have been a bidding war for sure.

Khan's stardom has completely faded and he hasn't been relevant in the UK for half a decade, so asking for 70-30 and making demands about what Brook needs to do and who he needs to beat is just ridiculous.
