By Lyle Fitzsimmons - There were still six rounds to go Saturday night. But the fighters, the handlers, the fans and the Showtime broadcast crew knew what was up. With Mares calling out Selby,a UK double header from Wales and Ireland would be perfect.

Plz don't compare these two decent fights to legendary trilogy like Barrera- Morales... Simply put, Frampton and Cruz lack the power to hurt each other which takes away any serious drama during the fight. More like watching a glorified sparring session.

The first fight was a bit over rated. If that was a fight of the year candidate than the sport has really become watered down. The rematch was totally lackluster. Santa Cruz couldn't hurt Frampton period, and Frampton couldn't get in close enough to land his sharper shots with any type of force. I hope they don't have a rubber match, and each one fights Russell Jr. and Valdez.
