    Garcia Lomachenko

Mikey is naturally 5-10 pounds bigger so I don't know if this fight is a possibility(though people talk as it is).. but many are really naive and buy into the hbo (pro wrestling style) hype machine wholeheartedly. Embarrasing a champion means you put on a great performance. Loma Walters fight was a great performance, not the christening of a supernatural boxer.

Mikey wins this fight at 135 because of his size and power advantage. He also has a ****** ring iq, exceptional skills, but he sets people up to hurt them( granted Loma is more fluid and faster). Whereas floyd was studying his opponent from the opening bell to take away his opponents offensive, mikey is similarly figuring him out to set up one punch to change or end the fight. He doesnt neccesarily have typical one punch ko power, but his perfectly timed power shots will hurt anyone. ..You see this consistantly if u remember his older fights.

He had a quote a while back saying he felt like he is playing a video game in the ring. This seems accurate, like he is playing mike Tysons punch out and discovers the vulnerable spots programed into a character and exploits them at first opportunity.

    Thoughts on a potential fight?

Loma will have seen what happened the other night and will fight like Floyd the entire night. It will be intrigueing to see, i have no idea what would happen, but Mikey will be favoured by the judges, so Loma would have to win 9-3 to get the win.

Anything less and it's robbery city.

Mikey would beat the dog sht out of Lomachenko.

Loma has Journeyman problems as shown against Salido. Plus I dont think he is big enough to beat Mikey.

Loma is better off asking Linares for a chance...

Mikey might be too big for Loma...not sure how Loma would react to Mikey's power

id have to see them face to face before i made a prediction. If mikey garcia is considerably bigger than i'd pick him, as good as loma is i cant see a smaller man beating a world class fighter like garcia. That would be a tremendous match up though, massive fan of both guys.

Would be an excellent fight. Mikey looks great at 135. I think it is the perfect weight for him. Loma's skills are just so amazing though. I'm not sure who I would pick.

It's an interesting fight. Off jump, people are going to ride with Mikey because of the KO of Dejan but we have to consider the dimensions Lomachenko brings that Mikey didn't see Saturday night when it concerns foot and hand speed, accuracy, Boxing IQ, lateral movement. As far as the size is concerned, Mikey is a few pounds heavier but they're more evenly matched than people might think. I'd give Mikey the advantage in power, but Lomachenko is kinda a loaded deck in a lot of departments. I don't think that fight happens right away and while I like Mikey a lot, he still has some 135lbers I'd like to see him fight be it Linares, Robert Easter (major size advantage there) and likely the winner of Flanagan vs Verdejo if that happens in June. Mikey vs Loma is a slight 50/50 fight but I'm not anointing Mikey like that just off the KO of Dejan who I felt was going to get KO'd anyway based on his approach.

Mikey isn't the kind of fighter who uses his size, sure the extra weight means his punches will be harder to take for the smaller man, but he's not gonna land many clean shots on Lomachenko. The pace Mikey fights at will makes things very easy for Lomachenko, you can't outbox or counter-punch Lomachenko, the way to beat him is with a high workrate.

The question you have to ask is can Mikey match Lomachenko for skill? The answer is no, Mikey is a very textbook fighter, he's too orthodox for a fighter like Lomachenko, who's multi-dimensional. He would neutralise Mikey's great jab with his lightning quick movement and angles.

I have Mikey top 10 P4P, but Lomachenko is all wrong for him

Actually, they are the same height and both are coming up from lower weight divisions. Loma's frame can easily handle 135. There is no huge size difference between them.
