  • Time for David Benavidez to get a World Level opponent?

Or at least fringe world level.

Im really high on this kid. Very smooth style and a natural puncher. I know he is young, but i think its time to step him up now and see if he can reproduce it against some better opponents.

Maybe someone like a Porky Medina could work.

Im more impressed with David early in his career than i was watching Jose Benavidez coming up

I haven't seen a great deal of him and the last fight I only saw glimpses I like but I still think he is a bit green at competing among top 10. Top 10-15 I think is a step up for him..

Yeah top 10-15 maybe a bit more realistic.

This is his fight from the weekend. Took a few jabs, maybe a bit straight up, but when his hands start moving he is devastating.

Good thing about him being so young is that he can fight a guy top 15 or so, and if he struggles there is no problem keeping him at the level for a little while to gain experience.

I actually thought he was 22-23, didnt realise he was only 20yrs old.

I saw this fight and he looked good for a guy his experience level. I will watch his past fights to see how he has progressed..

He is extremely relaxed and his punches flow very smoothly. He transfers his weight well, which is why he generates good power without putting too much effort in

This Kid has great potential. Dude is a beast, no doubt about it. He has sparred J'leon love, Peter Quillin, Latif Kayode, GGG, Gilberto Ramirez and Kelly pavlik. If you guys go to his facebook page you can see pictures of them posing together after sparring. Quillin and J leon love looked like they didnt like that work.

He's slow as a fedex truck and easier to hit.

He makes Chavez Jr look fast.
