Connors boss is not just Dana, Dana has people over him also. And if someone above Dana believes this is makes his shareholders money....Hell, Dana knows this will male money because he offered May and Connor a very good offer. If he offered them that much money, then how much did he see the company making? Who knows? Maybe the new owners, change that policy to make more money?

The UFC still holds right over fighters if they retire. He'd have to complete his UFC contract and I'm not sure how many more fights he has on there.

In the end the fight will happen if Dana makes money off of it. There's no way he's going to allow Conor to fight for millions unless he gets something out of it.

Mayweather/McGregor could simply settle the lawsuit.

Yes but Goldenboy and Top Rank promoted those events. The only event that he put on himself did 350k buys. Mayweather Promotions is an extremely average promotional company and quite frankly don't really seem to be knowing all that much about promotion.

The UFC do better fight promotion than anyone in boxing, period. They would undoubtedly help the fight get to the next level which in turn would help Floyd.

It matters because UFC can't afford to be involved and pay Floyd what he wants UNLESS they rob conner blind and that's the issue. Connor wants to be paid more but if he is happy with UFC taking a huge cut of his money to keep ufc in the loop cool. But as you heard by the offer from ufc they tried to take money from Floyd offering only 25m. That needs to change or UFC can't be in the loop.

If McGregor gets a big enough offer, it becomes possible..... and that will depend entirely on Mayweather.

Remember..... back in 2010, Mayweather offered Pacquiao 50/50..... he did that because Floyd knew that fight was huge.

Even at 40%, McGregor could write the UFC a cheque for 20mil and he would still take home more money than he earned during his entire MMA career.
