Jacobs is a good fighter. The best middleweight besides Golovkin and he will easily be the best opponent GGG has ever fought as a pro.

Yep, Jacobs is the second coming of King Kong. Also with Golovkin naturally being a featherweight, Jacobs is 5 or 6 weight classes bigger than him. Plus he's shown he can take punches from real ****ers like Mora and Pirog, so you're right about his chin being underrated as well. I don't see how Golovkin wins against such a formidable opponent.

Idk that I'd call Jacobs a serious threat. He's a threat, but at this level everyone is a threat to some degree despite some fans acting like every fight is pre-determined (which is hard to disagree with when you look at the odds sometimes, but its not correct). I guess it could be safely argued Jacobs is GGG's biggest threat in his career thus far doe.

the man can punch so he has a punchers chance for sure. that said he isnt top level talent.

he only has one somewhat impressive win against kid chocolate and he caught him really early so we didnt really see how their skills match up. kid chocolate isnt that great himself for that matter.

other than that his best wins are mora, ishe smith and fletcher. hardly anything to get excited about. he got crushed by pirog who everyone hails as some great fighter, but lets keep in mind his best two wins besides jacobs were ishida and kofi jantuah on his last leg. thats hardly an impressive resume.

jacobs has a known glass chin, has been KOd multiple times as an amateur and hurt by non punchers like smith and mora as a pro. having a glass jaw is problematic against someone like ggg.


its a decent win for ggg, but far from the win his fanbase are trying to hype it up to already. jacobs is a good fighter with a good punch, but beating him is still far from enough to warrant ggg's hype.
