They'll be fine, let's worry about boxing not promotion companies.

This. 99% of promotional companies in the world would consider killing their own dog in a satanic ritual just to have a guy like Jo Jo Diaz, let alone Canelo, on their roster.

GBP isn't in its best position in their history, but they aren't "crumbling" either. This kinda black (best in the world...nah best of all timesssssssssssss) or white (huge f#cking bum who needs to retire) stuff that some fans seem to only understand is silly & shows a lack of ability to engage in or grasp rational thoughts about boxing.

Or C- trolling. Whatever the case.

What exactly does that kind of info do to fans? Isn't this what Schaefer and Haymon planned all along? Current GBP with only a handful of fighters what exactly do you expect? Sounds stooopid to expect anything substantial isn't it?

All we know is PBC has spent $512 million and they still have nothing to show for it. No PPV stars, average rating of 300K-600K, not to mention its fighters are now fighting once a year. What a huge joke.

The ESPN deal is going to do wonders for GBP

Crumbling? They have canelo, they just signed a deal with espn. They just put on a great card that produce 2 great fights one of which is the early fight of the year candidate. Vargas lost but didn't hurt his rep at all everyone will want to see him again once his cuts heal will be first in line for another big fight. Could go directly into rematches with salido or miura and everyone will watch. I don't get fans you complain when promoters don't put their guys in tough fights or put on compelling cards but then complain when they do. If you put on great competive fights then your guys will win some and lose some but fans always win. And you will always want to see the guy who lost again as long as the fights are good. If you don't want your guys to lose then it will always be one sided mismatches.

Idk about wonders, but its obviously a good thing that they could do good things with. So if GBP was a stock now would be the time to buy cuz they are going to be moving up in value with that deal in place. And in my eyes that side programming will help maximize their fighters ability at becoming more known & fans becoming more invested in their future.

They still have Canelo in good position and they now have an avenue to bring up newer guys which they needed. They have not been that successful in getting that next guy ready to pick up the ball from Canelo but as long as Canelo is on board and his position in the sport remains the same that is a minor issue. They do have some prospects that are close to really stepping up though like Diaz.
