That was a pretty conclusive win for Santa Cruz in my opinion. I don't particularly need to see it again tbh

I only watched the main event cuz I recorded it. Idk most of the time it seems they're on point with how they're calling everything. I think I just grew tired of the Jim Lampley antics. Max sometimes works my nerves too. I like Roy Jones though, he's cool.

Also, Showtimes just puts on better, more interesting fights and match ups.

Leo fought well and deserved the win over Frampton

Leo fought a very smart fight and listened to his corner and won a his belts back. the third fight will be a doozy but Leo has the edge because of speed and size. Now if the fight is in Belfast every is off and Framp wins.

I totally agree with that Showtime vs HBO comment. Showtime is head and shoulders above HBO. HBO should revamp their entire commentary staff, including Lederman.

            Great fight.
            Fair result.
And credit to Frampton for taking his loss like a man and giving his opponent his due.

Really good fight. Great performance from Leo. Backed up his talk about being able to box and trading by choice 100%. Carl was obviously uncomfortable with having to lead but he rose to the challenge in a way that many counterpunchers don't.

I found it very hard to score. Several basically even rounds. In the end I would say that Leo was the clear winner in more rounds than Carl, and he deserved the decision on that basis.

Looking forward to the rubber match. I don't think these guys are on the Barrera-Morales level but they are world class all the same. And two class acts as well. Great post-fight interviews from both. Refreshing.

Little things like this can make or break a fight. I don't like Shane too much anyway so I may be biased

With the right guy in the corner, Frampton could've taken that fight. Shane wasn't up to it tonight
I don't want to be too critical of Shane because Frampton has improved a lot over the last 2-3 years. But I was pissed off at his comments at the end of the 8th round. Carl had just had arguably his best round of the fight and seemed to have found his groove. Shane told him he lost the round and what he was dong wasn't working.

I thought that was a very dumb move. Carl went away from what he had been doing and the momentum swung right back to Santa Cruz. I can understand Shane wanting to motivate his fighter, but don't tell him to do something different when he has finally found a way to win rounds clearly! I think Carl lost his way after that. Maybe Leo would have closed the show anyway, but bad advice is bad advice.

That's the way I had it. Frampton was off just a bit though, and LSC was a slightly more accurate. But the reason he did better was because Frampton's performance was down a little. Frampton just needs to fine tune a bit, concentrate on accurate boxing, not going for a KO. Bring on Part 3!
