He's such a huge name, the biggest in combat sports right now that he probably feels he should be branching out on his own and feels he's not earning what he should be, he's essentially an employee.

The problem is that he's branching out into a sport he doesn't do but i suspect that he's heard he can make a LOT more doing it away from UFC. So who wouldn't branch out to a sport you're unproven in to the tune of $25m or something?

He isn't going to be able to compete at the top level in boxing, so what happens when it's proven? is he going to run off into the sunset with a huge amount of money, or go back to the UFC...

Are they willing to sacrifice not only their #1 cash cow but the reputation of their sport vs. a feather fisted coward chicken that will stop McGregor in the first 3 rounds?
