You can easily go right into a vargas/miura rematch or salido. Vargas didn't hurt his rep. But will need a long time for the cuts to recover.

I don't think vargas has much more left tbh.

the last 3 fights have shaved around 10-20 years of his life, he has taken a ridiculous amount of punishment and his face is a total mess with scar tissue that will never heal and open up in every single fight

Yeah I hope not he is just a joy to watch and brings it every fight. I'm praying they can find a way to manage these cuts. Hey I thought gatti was done in 1998 because he too had a big problem with cuts. He went to fight for almost a decade longer, won another world title and gave boxing one of the greatest trilogy of alltime after everyone said he was done because of cuts and face blowing up every fight.
