So why exactly do some people dislike PBC + Al Haymon?

I mean what's not to like? PBC is bringing us epic fights like Thurman vs Porter, Thurman vs Garcia, Spence Jr fights, etc, all for free. As a boxing fan what is there not to like abut this? On the other side you have **** like Canelo vs Smith on ppv.....

As for Al Haymon he doesn't do interviews so we don't know much about him but surely he can't be worse than Uncle Bob or Don King or Oscar?

he's not a promoter. And he's affiliated with other powerful execs in the entertainment industry among other things...

Al don't have time for his side projects like boxing to be on spot light. dude's been around.

I like them over all for bringing boxing to free TV. That was desperately needed. The only knock I have is that they have put on quite a few showcase mismatches and their fighters get in the ring twice a year at best. Of course, they're not the only ones. HBO and SHO fighters seem to do the same thing. The fans should get more fights than that.

Most of them are now fighting once a year. Thurman, Porter, Broner, Peterson, Berto, Lara, Jermell, Stevenson, Quillin, Jacobs, Andrade, Degale... It's terrible.

hymie isn't doing enough to put on more fights with all those guys signed to pbc there should be MORE fights good competitive fights. they'll put on good cards for a couple weeks and then disappear for months the top guys stay inactive.I also feel like he tried to copy ufc and create his own league which is ******. don't try and reinvent the wheel just put on good fights.I don't give **** about him personally and don't know anything about him except I heard he likes ********.

Yeah, man. That's just not good enough to give boxing a boost. 3 times a year wouldn't be so bad but one or two is ridiculous.

I wish their top fighters fought more. That's pretty much the only gripe I have with them at the moment as they are stepping up their level of competitive fights

I like free boxing but there are a few issues with him.

                  1. Mismatches

                  2. Inactive top fighters

                  3. Over paying guys for mismatches so they think they deserve multi millions for competitive fight.

However it's not like he reinvented the wheel and promoters have had those issues before but since Al is one of the top promoters he's going to get the most hate.

Spence is on his sixth month of inactivity. He's not even complaining. Seems like he's hoping Brook vacates so he can continue fighting Bundu-type mandos. It also feels like he's got some gag order to not talk to the media or something. Meanwhile, Brook and Hearn are so vocal expressing how useless the Spence fight is and openly luring Khan instead. Why would anyone remain quiet with the same situation? Don't you at least want to know what's happening so you could break this long stretch of inactivity as soon as possible?
