If the Judges HAD to Answer for Controversial Decisions...

That's an interesting take on it. I'm not saying to speak to them after every fight where the decision is obvious and goes the way most would agree with. Only when it's a close fight. I mean, if they can explain their actions, then maybe they can enlighten us. I think transparency is good all around for the sport.Comment

the bigger issue in these "robberies" are the emotionally invested fans
However, a "notes" section on the scorecard could be useful, where after a close round a judge could quickly make a note of why he gave that round to the fighter he did.Comment

It sounds as a great idea at first but it isnt really practical. If they want to rob a fighter, they could still score a close 115-113 decision in favor of the protected fighter. That way they would make sure their scorecard would count.
I guess it would be a good idea if the judges were JUST incompetent, where lets say, they give a W to a loser just because they are crazy and they honestly thought he won. But in the reality we all know that most of them arent incompetent, but corrupted. So your plan wont make a difference because they would just keep scoring close decisions in favor of the real losers.Comment

Yes, that would help for sure.Comment

Don't act like you know how to score you don't know shít about boxing.I saw this brought up the other day and think it's a great idea. After a controversial call by a referee, often times the commentators will interview the referee about the call. Why not the judges?
There seems to be an unsaid rule that the judges are a group that will not be touched, heard or often times even seen. I do like it when they actually post their pictures on the screen rather than just naming them. Further more, after a close, controversial fight, I think they should be interviewed to see why they scored the way they did. In fact, they ought to be put on the screen regularly and won't be able to hide as easily. This could definitely clear up some crazy scoring, even if it still went on.Comment
