Why Aren't Big Fights held in Atlantic City anymore?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like any big fights happen there anymore when I know it was a mecca in the '90s. Was it the Chris Christy bankrupting the state thing? Just wondering why no big fights go down there anymore.

Most of the casinos closed. AC is dead most of the time now. It's a really sh**y place. trump played a major role in destroying that city. People still go there in the summer, but that's about it.

I think it has more to do with ******** being legalized in other nearby areas, so people stopped going to AC

AC is dead. Now that they have casinos in Baltimore and DC it's going to get even worse. Mohegan Sun in Connecticut is another one they don't go to anymore. But AC desperately wants and NEEDS sportsbooks. If that happens they will thrive, but they keep getting denied.

Oh wow. Ha. Thanks for the breakdown. I just remember seeing so many fights taking place there in the 90s and thought the other day why in the world don't fights ever happen there anymore? I hate to see it fade into the darkness. Some great match-ups went down there.

Yeah, it used to be on par with what Vegas is now & with MSG being the mecca of boxing until early 2000s. Good old days..
