Tecate doing a time buy on ESPN for GBP

Why do people think this is BIG news?

From what I hear GBP'S budget per show is $65k. That is a horrible budget to put on anything other than no name 4 and 6 rounders.

    Nobody cares about that stuff.

All I'm saying is that people want to act like the ESPN-GBP deal is something that it's not... it's scrub fights on a tiny budget.

The fight budget for ESPN's Friday Night Fights was $50,000. So, Golden Boy will produce the same quality level of fights as FNF.

I actually miss FNF. The fights weren't great, but the announcing team made them seem like great fights.

$65k is higher than the budget FNF had for years.

Isn't that also higher than many Shobox cards?

If so, what's "horrible" about that?
