Golden Boy Promotions doesn't come out at all in any form of positive light.

I'm not sure if Eric Gomez, Robert Diaz, and Bernard Hopkins are ready for these next three days of media.

Instead of these guys talking about the Vargas card, the ESPN deal, or Canelo vs Chavez Jr they are going to be put through the ringer about the emails, Oscar's DUI, and Al Haymons lawsuit dismissal.

Hope they get good rest tonight because the next 3 will be very restless.

Why Golden Boy lost (Cliff notes)

Haymon Sports waived the exclusivity provisions in all of its television contracts, Golden Boy entered into negotiations with ESPN for a multi-year deal.

(Daniel Jacobs, John Molina, Oyewale Omotoso, Shawn Porter, Julian Williams, and Leo Santa Cruz) have submitted declarations that unequivocally state, “[n]either Mr. Alan Haymon, Haymon Sports, nor anyone acting on their behalf has ever pressured or coerced me to either (i) work with any particular promoter (including Golden Boy), or (ii) not work with any particular promoter (including Golden Boy).

Haymon Sports and boxers promoted by Golden Boy and Top Rank, including the Canelo Alvarez v. Amir Khan fight on May 7, 2016 (Golden Boy) and the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. v. Manny Pacquiao fight on May 2, 2015 (Top Rank).

Golden Boy has not submitted a single proposal to Haymon, Haymon Sports, or any of the other Haymon En****** for the promotion of any Haymon Sports’ boxers during the Covered Period.

Indeed, in May 2015, Robert Diaz (Golden Boy’s matchmaker) received a suggestion from the manager of then Golden Boy-promoted heavyweight, Luis Ortiz, to try to place Mr. Ortiz in a bout that is featured within a PBC show. Mr. Diaz responded, “Are you serious? You do know we have sued Haymon right?”.

The father of Haymon-managed boxer Shawn Porter reached out to Eric Gomez about a potential fight with Golden Boy-promoted boxer Canelo Alvarez.

It's late for a full blown break down but basically judge found that golden boy didn't show any evidence of any pertinent fact that would cause a reasonable juror to side with golden boys claim that haymon interfered. Basically golden boy had no case what so ever and based on pure speculation(legally speaking).

A motion for summary judgment is designed to flush out frivolous cases and protect defendants from the expense of defending junk law suites.

                Oscar torched himself.

He should have bailed the same time Arum did.

I read some of it, but I knew it was coming. I hope it cost Oscar millions in lawyer and court fees.

Hayman took it to him with full force as well. Oscar should have learned that Haymon was already experienced at shooting down false claims with Arum.

Very strange that the case was dismissed at the same time Oscar faces a DUI. Seems like the DUI was made up to distract Oscar from presenting his case properly.
