it is a fact that Haymon is violating the Ali Act. Some hack judge saying otherwise doesnt change that one bit. All the judge commented on was who was performing specfic tasks, not who was controlling the revenue.
And like Ive said many times, the Justice Dept has never filed a single case regarding an Ali Act violation since its inception. I guess in your mind that must mean no violations have ever occurred, because no judge ever said so.

That's the old way of thinking that has gotten boxing relegated to the niche sport it is now. They don't acctount for other factors such as competition from another combat sport. People love to bring up the fact Arum built Mayweather, DLH, and Pacquiao into stars. That was a time where there was very little competition from other promoters and no competition from another combat sport. Since competition has increased what stars has Arum built? These people don't adjust with the times. They're stuck in the old ways of doing business. PBC may or may not fail. But one thing you can't deny is Haymon saw the eventually failing of the old model and tried to create a new model. Where would boxing be right now with no PBC? A cpl cards a year on Showtime and HBO (with most of HBO cards on PPV).
HBO as it is now can't really build stars, they can kind of sort of because of reputation but they don't have the volume or quality to do it like they did even just 10 years ago.
Going to something new always takes time to gain acceptance especially while the old way is hanging on with a death grip.Comment

The whole thing with Arum building stars is HBO played a huge role in every star he ever built. When HBO is spending 100 million a year on fights stars can be built up and with minimal help from a promoter.

True, and also increased competition. So now HBO has cut their budget what is Arum's plan? He's still doing things the old way. That formula only works when HBO is spending $100 mil and there isn't competition from another combat sport. He even has competition from two of his former fighters. Less money in the pot. More competition for that pot. What does he do now?
Can't do a PPV... HBO has limited dates.
Can't wait for HBO to say the hell with boxing... let's go make another GOT instead.Comment

What evidence do you have to support that so called fact? Why didn't you give it to Golden Boy's attorneys? Why weren't Golden Boy's attorneys able to come up with a single instance of Haymon violated the Ali Act? The Ali Act is designed to protect the fighter from the promoter, not the promoter from the manager. Golden Boy has a fighter that used to be with Haymon, Matthysse, why didn't they call him as a witness to show Haymon was violating the Ali Act? You were wrong. U.S. law says you were wrong. Just admit you were wrong and get over it. Let it go man, LET IT GO!!
1. Is Haymon a licensed manager? YES
2. Does the Ali Act prohibit a manager from profiting from the promotion of a boxer? YES
3. Does Haymon receive revenue from the promotional events associated with his fighters, such as ticket sales and advertising revenue? YES
Im not sure why that is so hard for you to understand. The fact that Golden Boy couldnt clearly demonstrate how that conduct damaged them is irrelevant. Those 3 facts still stand on their own.Comment
