It is the fighters who make the belts, and the IBO seems to be gaining credibility/prestige. For a long time i believe Wladimir Kiltschko only had the WBO & IBO Titles and was recognized as the best in the heavyweight division. People need to understand that its not the belts that make the fighters! the fighters make the belts! that's why when you reach a certain level? i.e Mayweather's level! you don't need belts. Even Mike Tyson during the 90's did not need a belt, to produce massive/marketable fights! Fighters between themselves know who the main men are at any given time in their division!Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 01-26-2017, 05:04 PM.

I believe the IBO title carries more weight than the WBU.
It takes generations to change ingrained dynamics in something like boxing - and the IBO's computerized ranking system feels like it's ahead of it's time. It immediately separates itself from the litany of other trinkets that are decided by a bunch of blokes in a meeting room, based on where the money can be made.
The IBO has a strong foothold in the African region - especially at the lower weights - they'd do well to try and shift the geographic a little bit and tap into the European and American markets. Wlad kept it relevant, and GGG proudly rocks it..but they need more representation.
