Yet they are considering Mariusz Wach.

Truth is, Ortiz presents a risk and Wilder does not take risks.

GGG has fought and pursued the best in his division, Wilder elects to face guys in the top 20-40 in his division and is content.

GGG to get the marquee fights will inevitably have to move up.

"Deontay will have had a full training camp and whomever the opponent is will be coming in with only a month's preparation putting him (the opponent) at a severe disadvantage, so we will not be taking any risks."

GGG has yet to take a risk...even at 34 going on 35.

If he were American he'd be called a coward and a joke.... like ya'll do Wilder.

It is testament to GGG's skill and power why no one at 160 can challenge him, for a challenge he will have to move up to 168.

Wilder on the other hand continues to face extremely poor opposition and has yet to face a mandatory in over two years when he had to fight an immediate mandatory upon picking up the belt Stiverne won when vacant, WBC rules state winning a vacant belt you have two immediate mandatories owing, Wilder still has one outstanding from JANUARY 2015 !

It is a testament to the weakness of the MW division.

Cotto won a title at 160 at a time he couldn't buy a title at 147 or 154

                      Wade was a #1 contender...that's a weak division.

Even Jermain Taylor's washed-up ass was able to win a title again

                      GGG simply lacks ambition...
