isn't it 1mil for every pound over the limit? if I was jr, I would try to get down to 164.5 as much as I can without hurting my health and then just pay the fee for the 1-2 pounds over the limit. this way jr will atleast still be healthy to put on a good show.

That's unfortunately his best bet. Even making 168 for his last fight he looked depleted. Now he's gotta drop an extra 3.5 lbs? To think Canelo wanted a rehydrate clause on top of that but Chavez said no way.

He's 6'1"... there is no excuse for him to get down to 164.5. For this amount of money and exposure, I'm positive he'll get there healthy. Sometimes guys need this kind of motivation to lock it down

Cant blame the man for supporting his son but I think the weight will be his undoing in this fight. He hasnt kept in good shape and his weight struggles are no secret. I think we get 4 or 5 rounds of solid action before he fades
