Will ESPN Cancel the Deal with GBP SInce ODH got the DUI?

This is a serious question. I know I am known as an ODH hater and make many jokes about him.

This is now the third time ODH has had a relapse/incident right before a big card he is promoting.

Instead of being able to answer questions and promote the brand, ODH is going to need serious time off to get help with his addiction.

Do you think ESPN will cancel or alter the recently signed deal with GBP in light of this situation?

I don't think it'll have any effect on the ESPN2 deal. I think he effed up...again...with his addiction to being f#cked up & its on the lower end of f#ck ups for him if its just alcohol. And if worst comes to worst he can rehab in the next few days or few weeks to smooth over any edges with ESPN2 if they do have some 2nd thoughts over this incident.

No and they shouldn't. They have a woman abuser hosting first take. This is boxing. There will always be flawed characters involved in the sport

I just don't think Oscar is stable enough to run a promotional company, he is trying but the fact that he gets himself in this sort of situations, makes me worry not just for him but the company that he is running too. His company should be enough to keep him away from alcohol and drugs, he shouldn't have too much time on his hands to be able to get himself on drugs and drinking again.

I wasn't thinking they'd do it as punishment for the DUI but moreso because h its the 3rd time he has had an incident involving drugs or alcohol during the week of a fight and might not be available to promote this event and some in the future.

If you are management at ESPN2/ESPN deportes, what would you do?

I don't think so Dunn. I truly think personal affairs should be left out in deals like this unless you truly did something evil. But for the case of Dela Hoya, no, a good rehab and emotional support from the family is the only thing he needs.

Well they can still let him do his thing, but I hope they bring it up and ask him about it. They have done that in the past I think to others.

In regular circumstances I agree. This is unique because this tarnishes his image to a degree and his image is needed to promote these events.
