Ortiz has a first/last with HBO so he can't just up and go fight on Fox which is the whole point of this endeavor to find a replacement for a Fox fight. HBO might be willing to let it go down but that is a whole series of extra steps to jump through even if Ortiz is willing to take short money.

Good talking point but probably not possible even if Wilder was willing given time constraints.

i question if ortiz would take the fight tbh..this seems like all talk..and lord knows i've bashed wilder more than enough for yall to leave that bs wilder fan boy talk way from me....pr stunt by the old man who would likely be out of shape and likely say no to the terms that have been set for a month already...HE'S NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE BUSINESS OF BOXING..his promoter would accept wilder on 3 weeks notice either..so u have to be dumb to even bother wilder with this mess.

Wilder will not risk his belt against Ortiz in an Alabama ring. The risk isn't worth the reward. $$. Maybe in Vegas, NY or England. How about bringing in Big-Baby Miller??

Apparently Wilder tuned up Miller in sparring a while back. Would make for great press conferences though.
