I just saw that the WBC official heavyweight rankings and Dillian Whyte's number 9! David Price is 14!

Is the heavyweight division that weak?

Who has Whyte beaten that is of any significance in the heavyweight division?
Or do the promoters pay the governing bodies to bump up their fighters the rankings?

I'm actually a lil more disturbed by Price being #14, although I suppose since results are results & all his L's were PED influenced L's has some bearing there too.

All in all we all should understand the alphabet rankings are bs at this point doe so whatever. I don't really pay much attention to alphabet rankings anymore.

Being ranked 14 by one sanctioning body is the equivalent of being top 30-50 considering champions aren't ranked and all 4 organizations have their own rankings. I wouldn't look too much into it.

The WBO rankings for example seem to be almost entirely at the whim of Bob Arum and Frank Warren
