Comparing Thurman and Danny's performances vs Guerrero.

Who do you think was more impressive against Guerrero and what do their performances tell us?

Thurman to me was more aggressive and did a lot more damage (scored a knockdown), while Danny Garcia spent the whole fight slowly backing up while potshoting Guerrero and displaying decent boxing skills. Thurman himself got pretty ****** up.

However, one thing that must be taken into account is that after round 3 Thurman fought with a HUGE HEMATOMA (caused by headbutt) on his forehead which caused blood to go into his eyes and made him dizzy. The fact that Thurman had that injury yet was still that dominant is amazing to me.

That **** was nasty man....... imagine having to fight 9 rounds with THAT in a world class fight?

So Thurman was more impressive to me despite Garcia landing possibly the cleaner shots. What do you guys think?

    I think Thurman as well.

Guerrero was very aggressive against Garcia from round 1 to 12, whereas against Thurman, he started being aggressive from round 10, I think Thurman punched himself out a bit trying to take Guerrero out in the 9th. I still had him winning 2 of the remaining 3 rounds though. Regardless, they both beat him clearly.

I hope Thurman doesn't fight Garcia trying to prove a point, that would play right into Garcia's hands. Keith needs to use his legs, let Garcia be the one forcing the action and counter him. With both guys being counter-punchers, whoever fights aggressively will be at a disadvantage.

This fight is going to be a lot more competitive than people think, it's pretty much 50-50.

I think I would have to say Thurman. He just had a lot more firepower than Garcia.

At the same time I see opportunity for Danny in Keith's performance. Keith left himself wide open on the way in at times, letting Guerrero land the big overhands and hooks that are Danny's speciality.

If I knew Thurman could minimise those opportunities for Danny, or if he could take those shots comfortably, I would have no hesitation in picking him at all. But I'm not convinced he can just yet.

Thurman's performance was better he dropped him and hurt him several times he also beat a better version of guerrero and I think Thurman beat out what little prime guerrero had left in him robert truly became a shot fighter afterwards his next fight he got beat up and lost to a nobody named aaron martinez but got a gift decison.danny fought a shop worn guerrero and still failed to win in impressive fashion.

very true.soto karass also caught Thurman with a big overhand as they were exchanging and he was hurt by it and those body shots from collazo and porter too.I want Thurman to win and I'm picking him to do so but his durability is a concern.

Considering Guerrero's recent career going into both fights, along with the fights themselves, I'm not sure how you make the case for Garcia having the better win.

It's not a big win for either, but Thurman beat the better version and did so more impressively.

Thurman was more impressive and it isn't close. Guerrero insisted he won the fight with Garcia although he really did lose. Guerrero didn't complain about losing to Thurman because he knew he was clearly beaten and hardly won a single round. Thurman knocked Guerrero down and Garcia didn't knock Guerrero down.
