LOL. Damn, man. You've fallen off. Pirog was getting beaten up? What's your definition of that? Jacobs won a few rounds, but Pirog was controlling that fight and then he used the shifting technique which obviously Jacobs had never thought of and laid him out. This is a ridiculous thread.
How many people actually saw the Jacobs Pirog fight?

Because Jacobs was the guy they were backing at the time. Pirog was a nobody going in but he proved everybody wrong. Of course, some posters won't ever give a guy credit. Too bad he hurt his back. I'm sure he would have welcomed a rematch.Comment

Yeah I know he was the guy they were backing. It's just funny reading up on some of the predictions before the fight and some of it was just what the ****? regarding Pirog. It was evident very early in the fight that Jacobs wasn't really going to figure Pirog out. He still landed punches of course but yeah he was the one controlling that fight.Comment

Well people knocking him before the fight is fine, but after the fact? He did great and dropped Jacobs like a bad habit. I don't see any point in diminishing the man's victory over a young, unbeaten opponent backed by HBO at the time.Yeah I know he was the guy they were backing.
