Unlike Vlad
Ward fights in competitive divisions.
Wlad is an honorable man who may clinch a lot now as he's slowed down with age, but he rarely uses really dirty tactics like head butts. Only seen Wlad do it once near the end of his career, but it's a BIG part of prime Ward's game plan.
Wlad never clinched much until his mid-thirties. Ward has been holding and arm-clamping all his career.
Wlad honors his contracts, he's delayed a few fights in his late 30s with injuries, but he's never bitched out of a fight.

I would like to see Wlad go out with a win after such a reign, but he looked so old and tired in his last fight and has been inactive for so long, the outcome is pretty much inconsequential going into the future. Definitely not as excited about this one as I usually am about HW fights.
"Officially" I think Joshua gets the stoppage.

I really want Joshua to win the fight but I'm not playing Wlad cheap because he has that wisdom and one punch knockout power. If Anthony can get pass the fourth round, the odds go up that he knocks Wlad out. That would good. Wilder needs to get Parker and knock him out in good fashion. That would set the stage for another mega bout between Wilder and Joshua. Don't know if it will eclipse the May and Pac fight but it might come close. The hype would be intense and it will be held in the states.

Joshua. I don't always root for the younger guy, but in this case it's all about the future.
Wlad was/is a boring fighter, Joshua isn't, and besides that I don't see any point in being excited over another Wlad victory being added to the win column when he's already got plenty of feathers in his cap as it is. I get why some might prefer to see him go out with a win (if this really is his retirement fight) since that type of thing happens far too rarely to legends in the sport, but I'm not invested in him enough as a fan to care one way or another.
My only gripe is that Joshua won't be the one ending his historical championship reign if he wins. Not that it should make beating Klitschko any easier, but it'd still feel a lot more monumental if he was the one ending the streak instead of just doing what another person already did.Last edited by LockardTheGOAT; 02-06-2017, 03:40 AM.
