An excellent match up and, whilst Thurman appears to be the solid favourite, I think Garcia will surprise a lot of people and pull out a win.

I predicted a 50/50 fight between Swift and Matthysse. So no, I'm not one of those fans who predicted a Lucas landslide. But Thurman wins this fight. Possibly by KO. I've got 5 trillion. Take it if you want it. March 3.

Thurman maybe slightly faster and he may have fresher legs than Danny but here is the kicker, once Danny Garcia lands one of his left hook bombs to the body Thurman will retreat and that will be the beginning of the end for Thurman. Thurman has faught opponents with less power and has been hurt to the body multiple times though out his career. Danny is a top level fighter who is always underestimated by everyone and always comes up big on fight night. I don't expect anything different this time around either. As for angel Garcia, he needs to seek professional help due to he's erratic behavior. Danny don't need that kind of publicity if he wants to continue securing big money fights. Those are my thoughts, have a great week all

Good post. Here's my take (it probably won't be my last) Thurman is stronger, as far as speed is concerned, I have them even. Chin has to go with Garcia. Timing Garcia. Smarts...hmmm I noticed Ghost was able to make Keith stick & move the last 3 rounds. Keith leaves himself open a lot & drops his hands too much, you better watchout for the GARSH! with that being said I like both fighters, but after Angels lowlifish rants...I tend to be rooting for keith & his classy trainer. Angel better apologize....

Both have looked less than stellar recently. Garcia against Herrera and Peterson. Thurman against Guerrero. I can't imagine either doing to Golovkin what Brook did for a couple of rounds.
But last time out Thurman looked very good against Porter. Porter is a good couple of steps above Herrera, Guerrero and a step above Peterson. Thurman has been a bit more active too.
Not saying that this is easy but I see Thurman with more possibilities especially if he counters the counter and mixes up his attack.
Give Crawford a couple of fights to adjust at 147 and he takes either of these 2 guys - he is just a more complete boxer.

Garcia counters effectively when he's in deep trouble. That's where he shines. Meaning, such cases happen when the opponent gets careless. Thurman is not that kind of opponent. Garcia sucks at chasing fighters and cutting off the ring. It's not likely that he will be able to trap Thurman on the ropes just like Guerrero and Porter did. Thurman is also effective fighting backwards. So I don't see any extra special advantages Garcia has in this fight, except a puncher's chance.

Cant wait, hoping he KOs Garcia but will settle for a decision. Angel gonna be hitting the crack pipe pretty hard that night after Danny loses.
