Firstly, examine the purses of these recent fights!

Ortiz (Title Holder) vs. Mayweather (Challenger)
Purse Split: 92/8% in Mayweather's favour.

Martinez (Title Holder) vs. Cotto (Challenger)
Purse Split: 78/22% in Cotto's favour.

Cloud (Title Holder) vs. Hopkins (Challenger)
Purse Split: 58/42% in Hopkins favour.

Bradley (Title Holder) vs. Pacquiao 2 (Challenger)
Purse Split: 77/23% in Pacquiao's favour.

As it is clearly evident, the fighter who is the household name, and has earned more over the span of their career is given the significantly higher percentage of the purse.

A look into Brook vs. Khan

• If Khan and Brook were to fight this May, both fighters would be coming off KO losses.
• Khan earned £9 Million for his bout with Canelo, whereas Brook earned £2.4 Million against Golovkin.
• Khan would come into the fight as an interim WBC titleholder, whereas Brook would come into the fight without any form of a title, as he will be stripped of his IBF Title, for failing to fight his mandatory, Errol Spence Jr.
• Moreover, in the examples of the purses given above, the challengers have 'wanted' to fight for the title, and more importantly 'pushed' for the fight. Whereas in the example of Khan vs Brook, Brook is the fighter who has been pushing for the fight.

I personally just want to see these two get it on in the ring. I think Brook wins by KO.

Eddie Hearn says 50/50. Al Haymon says 70/30. Make the deal at 60/40 in favour of Khan, and let's get this British Superfight on! Logic says to meet in the middle!

Khan got $6 mil for Canelo. Without Canelo Khan doesn't make much, him and Brook are around the same draw at the moment.

Khan is a household name and is regularly on national TV, whether that is good news or bad news. Brook on the other hand is well known amongst casual boxing fans. I think 60/40 or even 65/35 are acceptable purses in favour of Khan.

Khan is a celebrity in the UK, Brook is just a top level athlete. It's hard to explain, but the British public followed Khans career on national tv from his Olympic days.

Khan isn't half the draw he used to be, he hasn't fought on national tv for what must be half a decade. Stop the bullshit.

I agree with LacedUp 100 percent. A 60/40 split would be good. I don't think Khan really wants to fight Brook.Khan is just going through the motions with no intentions of actually fighting Brook. I hope I am wrong because I would love this fight to happen if Brook vs Spence doesn't happen.
