You wouldn't but to be fair Chavez Jr. if MOTIVATED is better than BOTH Lemuix and Saunders. Lemuix lost to a career 154lber. And Andy Lee got TKO's by Chavez in 7 rounds. Saunders fought to an MD with Saunders. I would bet the FARM on Canelo to beat either one of those two.

Lara with his pure Cuban boxer background is like kryptonite to GGG's style imo. Lara has been begging for this fight for years for a reason. You want big fights Lara? Try not stinking out the joint whenever you're put on the world stage. Also, Lara-Williams was the worst robbery of the last 15-20 years.

Yep Ronnie Shields has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to boxing. But you do. It makes perfect sense. I would love to live on your planet.

I particularly appreciated your explanation as to why you think Shields is way off. Very instructive.

You don't need crazy movement to give Canelo problems. Even when Floyd fought him he was right in front of him the majority of the night even at times putting Canelo against the ropes and Floyd by far was the smaller guy.

GGG's pace, well timed jab, ability to always be in position, overall Boxing IQ will give Canelo issues on top of having to deal with real Middleweight power. When you look at Canelo's previous fights, who really was a threat in the power dept alone to him? Now you're dealing with a guy in GGG with a major AM pedigree, knows how to set traps, solid body attack, these are all things Canelo's never had to deal with. Canelo will have moments and he'll land some crisp shots but I almost feel like this is gonna look like Cotto v Margarito 1 w/ out the su****ion of loaded gloves where Canelo lands shots that GGG eats up inevitably wearing down Canelo.

You don't have to be an asshol3 about it. There are 500 boxing experts, all of them with different opinion. Just because one 'expert' says something doesn't mean that's the overall opinion. Go look through last 10 pages of NSB, you'll find 5 experts who think Canelo beats Golovkin.

As for the style, Shields' comment doesn't even make sense. He says that Canelo "wants you to come straight at him".. which is exactly what Golovkin does. When he says 'the thing is, Canelo doesn't move around alot', what he's doing is talking about Lara because he's a mover. This whole interview was another attempt to say that Lara is awesome.

The reason I said he has no idea what he's talking about is because it's been proven that in the ring that Golovkin feasts on movers. His strengths are to cut off the ring, seek and destroy. Willie Monroe, who has a similar style to Lara, tried to box and move for the first 2 rounds, and he got absolutely obliterated. Then he changed gears and went on the inside and had much more success.

Stylistically, if all 3 of them had the same skill level, it would go:
Mover (Lara) beats cement footed counter puncher (Canelo)
Counter Punching Pressure fighter (Golovkin) beats mover (Lara)
Young cement footed counter puncher (Canelo) beats Old Counter Punching Pressure fighter (Golovkin)
