This is what I'm talking about. Angel is into everything except boxing. What's he going to tell Danny in the corner. You're whiter than him?

It's clear Mayweather's the 'Go To' guy when it's time to drum up a media storyline.
These two scenarios aren't even comparable here, and what Mayweather said has never damaged the sport of boxing any time many promoters have said the exact same thing in the past.

I always thought Mayweather Promotions would be better if they had a better public speaker for the press conferences. Look at the DeGale v Jack press conference before the fight, Eddie Hearn showed how it's done, even if people are not a fan, he is an excellent confident public speaker and can sell.
The problem with having someone else doing the talking is that a lot of the media are there and it gets more attention because Floyd is there. So it's a bit of a catch-22, but Golden Boy did it pretty well when they had Schaefer really doing most of the talking/selling while De La Hoya did his little bit too.
Can't knock Mayweather Promotions so far though, they don't mind putting their fighters in a challenge.

Then we had Pacquiao not allowed a legal anti-inflammatory injection for his injury by the NSAC but Floyd was allowed an illegal saline flush IV which can be used to mask PEDs.

I mean come on that's what you sound like. As if you really don't understand this basic situation. And as if you don't know Pacquiao's english is **** anyway so it's easy to twist what he says to your agenda. Just like Trump's English isn't always exact, so the mainstream media can use the imprecise words Trump uses to claim he said or meant something in ways he did not necessarily say or mean.
As for reporters, well Thomas Hauser is a legendary boxing journalist/reporter, so again you are using bad rhetoric. Article not report? Yeah it's a report in the form of an article. It's not some random rumor guy. It's Thomas Hauser, a respected journalist who does have real sources, who has never been known to make up false reports.
What is your position anyway? Hauser made it all up but somehow the NSAC or USADA never asked for a retraction even though he lied about them? Right...
What about Floyd settling the lawsuit by Manny in order to avoid having his tests made public? And paying way more than Team Pacquiao expected? Do you think Hauser or Arum made that up too?
Man........
Oh and IV Gate is not even argued. The NSAC admitted what Hauser reported is correct, that Floyd got caught using an illegal IV by WADA rules in his house before the Pacquiao fight, but the NSAC was never notified and USADA gave him a TUE. That's all admitted, so have you honestly never asked yourself why Floyd was allowed to use a process known for masking steroids the night before the biggest fight of the century? And actually get caught during it, but still be allowed, and Pacquiao wasn't notified? Not even notified?
I mean, even if you think Floyd wasn't masking steroids, the one other use for the saline IV is to rehydrate after a bad weight cut. It allows an unnatural advantage in cutting weight. So either way, Floyd cheated, and got an unfair, unnatural advantage. And oh guess what, he refused to give a same-day weight for the first time in many fights. Also just a coincidence I'm sure?Last edited by Boxing Logic; 01-23-2017, 11:49 AM.

Guys like Eddie Hearn and Chris Eubank Senior understand this...Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 01-23-2017, 11:57 AM.

Floyd IMO was mad not only about the decision but that the draw made him lose a bet he placed on Jack. He did the same thing a number of guys on this site did after Ward/Kov. He could have made the points he did more concisely instead of coming off like a baby.
Angel is a buffon that is trying his best to be the villian and drum up interest. How anyone can have a problem with Garcia when Trump is President is beyond me. We are in a time where political correctness is being ignored. I can't get up in arms about a boxing manager acting like this when our President does the saem.

We can compare who faced Oscar and FMJ since both are superstar who started at 130.
Do you think FMJ would be undefeated facing Bernard Hopkins, Felix Sturm, Trinidad, a prime Mosley twice?
I don't, Oscar obviously took more risks and we have the right to think and say it, like or not grupie.
