It's clear Mayweather's the 'Go To' guy when it's time to drum up a media storyline.

These two scenarios aren't even comparable here, and what Mayweather said has never damaged the sport of boxing any time many promoters have said the exact same thing in the past.

Mayweather seems like a good promoter thus-far in his career, he does not seem afraid of making big fights. But he needs to learn how to play media game abit better when?

The problem with Floyd is that he's a pretty bad public speaker. He is also incapable of answering a question properly without resorting to his stock lines that he always uses, which often means he answers with something totally unrelated.

I always thought Mayweather Promotions would be better if they had a better public speaker for the press conferences. Look at the DeGale v Jack press conference before the fight, Eddie Hearn showed how it's done, even if people are not a fan, he is an excellent confident public speaker and can sell.

The problem with having someone else doing the talking is that a lot of the media are there and it gets more attention because Floyd is there. So it's a bit of a catch-22, but Golden Boy did it pretty well when they had Schaefer really doing most of the talking/selling while De La Hoya did his little bit too.

Can't knock Mayweather Promotions so far though, they don't mind putting their fighters in a challenge.

There are reports Floyd tested dirty on his A-sample tests, but then it got covered up. Also reports I forget if it was USADA found his T-to-E ratio test outside norms, which is supposed to automatically trigger I think the NSAC to use the more expensive test that would then prove the synthetic testosterone, but they decided not to run the test. Then we had Pacquiao not allowed a legal anti-inflammatory injection for his injury by the NSAC but Floyd was allowed an illegal saline flush IV which can be used to mask PEDs.

Floyd also got a gift vs Castillo their first fight. So there's a long long history.

Pacquiao claimed he re-injured his shoulder in the 4th round, possibly as a result of not getting the anti-inflammatory injection on the injury he'd suffered weeks prior. That's how come he can say it was in the 4th round. It's the difference between a new injury, and re-injuring or exacerbating a current injury. You really can't understand the nuance there lol? Either you are not bright or more likely, your logical capabilities work just fine, but you're a Floyd fan so you've intentionally lied to yourself using bad rhetoric. Oh and IV Gate is not even argued. The NSAC admitted what Hauser reported is correct, that Floyd got caught using an illegal IV by WADA rules in his house before the Pacquiao fight, but the NSAC was never notified and USADA gave him a TUE. That's all admitted, so have you honestly never asked yourself why Floyd was allowed to use a process known for masking steroids the night before the biggest fight of the century? And actually get caught during it, but still be allowed, and Pacquiao wasn't notified? Not even notified?

I mean, even if you think Floyd wasn't masking steroids, the one other use for the saline IV is to rehydrate after a bad weight cut. It allows an unnatural advantage in cutting weight. Yes! he seems quite strained when he is speaking as a promoter. Knowledge is nothing if you cannot project it with charisma or fluency! It would be wise for him to take acting classes, to improve his public speaking in this new business environment he finds himself in! as its obvious that Mayweather has allot of knowledge about promoting, he just needs to create a new act! Boxing is show business inside and outside of the ring.

Floyd IMO was mad not only about the decision but that the draw made him lose a bet he placed on Jack. He did the same thing a number of guys on this site did after Ward/Kov. He could have made the points he did more concisely instead of coming off like a baby.
