Comments Thread For: Robert Garcia: Canelo Has A lot More To Lose in Chavez Jr. Bout

Veteran trainer Robert Garcia believes Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has a lot more to lose in the Mexican mega-bout with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The two country rivals will finally meet in the ring on May 6th, as part of Cinco De Mayo weekend. The two boxers agreed on a catch-weight of 164.5-pounds. Canelo, holder of the WBO junior middleweight title, will head up from 154. Chavez Jr., who fought at the super middleweight limit of 168 in December, will have to come down a few pounds.

If JR loses he's finished but if Canelo loses he gets a hundred million dollar trilogy and doesn't face GGG.That might be a win in the seedy underworld of boxing.I'd say JR has more to lose but an insightful article none the less.

Chavez Jr. by FAR has the most to lose. This is a CAREER defining fight for him. He loses and looks like sht or lazy he's DONE in Boxing!!!Canelo can just say Chavez Jr is too big and go back down to 154.

Just look how much bigger Chavez is??? Chavez Jr, is 6' 1" while Canelo is 5' 7 1/2"
