    Years ago maybe so. Today the standard for a title fight are lower. They used to be expected to fight a top 10 guy. Now anybody rated in the top 15 of of the organization they are champion of qualifies as a legit title fight. Even though most of us never heard of this guy he is rated in the WBC top 15 so it's a title fight. Lara just defended his title against a guy boxrec rated about 119th but he was rated in the top 15 by the WBA so it was OK.
