These numbers are interesting for the mere reason of I believe the Showtime card did about the same number give or take. So a garbage fight on basic cable does about the same as the #2 premium cable network with a good fight these days it looks like.

The fact that Mayweather's card did similar numbers amazes me.

There's obviously a base of boxing fans that tune in to watch any fights that might be on at any time. I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, but it seems to me Lara got slightly above average attention. Nothing to brag about. PPV is where the big boys come out to play...and where the numbers truly mean something.
