Comments Thread For: Froch: Smith is Not Ready For DeGale, Should Face Dirrell First

New York - If there is anyone who knows the importance and history of the super middleweight division in the United Kingdom - it is retired former world champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24 KO's). During the final years of his career, Froch took the torch from Welshman Joe Calzaghe (46-0, 32 KO's), who many feel is one of the greatest fighters to ever compete at 168 pounds.

Froch talking balls as usual. Dirrell actually took 7 rounds in the Degale fight but only lost because he was decked twice early on. Degale is the one that's winging it right now, hasn't dazzled for a long time.

Froch completely contradicts his self here. "I dont think he should jump straight in with the very best". "Its hard 2 get up for a fight when ur fighting joe blogs, hes at the age where u need the big fights". Honestly i loved froch fights but this guys taken 1 too many punches over the years

        Degale fought andre.

        Smith will be fighting Anthony.

Damn, you're right. Got my Dirrells mixed up. Anyways, Degale is still winging it. Green K for the correction.

Callum Smith is the goods, I expect him to easily outpoint Anthony Dirrell.

He's the most technically sound guy at 168 right now, terrific jab, sharp and accurate right hand, very good body puncher, good temperament.

                  Froch talks rubbish

Froch doing all the talking again. Smith not ready for degale. They would both beat you oh a remember you were chicken to fight degale. Your claim to fame beating groves who ain't even a world champion. Calzaghe the greatest. You are nowhere near

Yup. Calz was way better than Froch. Froch is a good but not great fighter.
