    What happened to Wlad?

What happened to him in the Fury fight? Is he just old?

outboxed by a better boxer. he was never a good boxer. dont confuse being big and being able to prevent your opponent from throwing punches through clinching with boxing skill

no, the world underestimated fury because he has a clowny persona, as did wlad.

For the size, fury has great footwork and jab. Seemed to dance around wlad easily

Mental weakness. Judging by the way his corner passively suggested that he was going to need a KO in the later rounds, no one was honest with him after the Jennings fight and told him that he's behaving far too hesitantly.

Combine that with a smart gameplan from Fury that exacerbated Wlad's hesitance, and you have a guy who looked scared and clueless.

I've been chomping at the bit for over a year to see how he comes back. I think he's intelligent enough to defeat the issue. But, it seems to be deeply rooted so who knows?

Fury landed first be it jabs or anything & moved around before Wlad could catch him.. Also Wlad looked mentally weak in the fight, could be his fiance's depression & rehab issue or if there was another factor but he had not realized that he had lost the fight going into 12th.. But credit to Fury with his game plan..
THat is why I wanted the rematch to happen to see a Wlad who had less to lose & more to gain in a fight..

Wlad's whole style revolves around perfection if he can't land perfectly he won't throw, if the other guy can possibly land back better then him he won't throw.

That game works great when you can out range the other guy and he can never land without moving into range and then Wlad can clinch up once his best range is moved past.

Fury exploited the situation perfectly because Wlad can't fight in a perfect way against what Fury does it requires taking chances something Wlad was just not prepared to do that night.

Fury was clearly on coke that night. Have you ever tried fighting a crackhead? That's difficult. Pernell Whitaker was on crack too as well as Emmanuel Augustus. Look at their styles. Very hard to figure out. Klithshko lost to a very skilled crackhead.

Banks is scared to get into him the way steward used to. And he's just getting old.
