IDC what the jail gangs think is appropriate. People who statistically receive a poor education aren't likely to know that some Latinos are Black, so how do you expect them to take that word from someone who might look like a White person or a Mexican to them?
They don't decide history, and they don't decide genetics.
Puerto Ricans are Black, and they say that word if they want to. Other Black people (African-Americans) don't have an issue with it, by and large. It's not said in the same way racists say it. We were ******, too, and are just as Black as they are, even if we know our mix. You think Black people aren't mixed, too? History and genetics tells us otherwise.
You remind me of thewhitegirl's father, tellin' me that I can't say "we're all the same" to other Native Americans, when I don't think about it in the way a racist like he does. I just know my history and my background.
The white man doesn't decide who we are, so stop it.Last edited by SunSpace; 01-18-2017, 07:17 PM.Comment

some ricans are black some are mixed and some don't have any black blood. no generalization there works. Ive been to the isla many times and have many friends there. They all say that no two ricans have the same blood unless its the same famIDC what the jail gangs think is appropriate. You're right on that Puerto Ricans come in all shades, but they're still Black, no matter how the skin-color mix turned out for a certain person.theres lots of ricans who ain't black. you ever see carlos ponce or jackie guerrido or Ponch from Chips, Chayanne, Marc Anthony, J Lo.etc etc they come in all shades. very generalistic post.
maybe its his anti immigrant approach that has people thinking angel is racist
Genetics are more important than skin color.
I'm not dark-skinned, but ain't no one gon' tell me I ain't Black. I know my history.Comment

I'm typing to you from the island right now.
Your friends are incorrect. If you want genetic studies, I'll show you. Just say the word.
There are people who are so racist here that they CLAIM they don't have Black blood, but genetic studies say otherwise.
I have an aunt who says that, and yet my sister looks just like a light-skinned Black person.
It's a load of racist BS.Comment

There are Puerto Rican's that are black, but not all Puerto rucans are black. It's like saying all Brazilians are African. False. There are black Brazilians, but again, not all Brazilians are blackComment

Puerto Ricans are Black. Research Puerto Rico, or just go on Wikipedia. They're not black though, these are all unwritten rules its ****** as fxck.
Racism isn't cool, right?
Well stop using derogatory words and stop giving some people a pass for them If you don't like someone else saying that word well you better not say it yourself to have any real reason to dislike the word being used otherwise you're just a hypocrite.Comment
