Its kinda been Danny's MO in his career to fade away in between big fights. After the Khan fight, he kinda did the Sr citizen circuit thing until he almost had nowhere to turn but Matthyssee. And after that win, his pops basically turned down a shot at Floyd before he was even asked about it. He probably hung on a lil too long before making the move to full fledged welterweight. And it costs him against Herrera and Peterson. And now he's basically at a point where the only way he can stay relevant is to take a big fight. And at this point, I think Thurman is the most "gettable" among the beltholders at 47. So for a guy that's been matched very strategically, this is the fight that makes most sense.

No crazy hype or gifs, remember when Garcia was going to fight Mattyse. The crazy hype, gifs, advice from NSB posters etc, those were the good ol' days. Here we have two top fighters in their division and no overhyping either.Comment

Man this is the biggest fight at 147 I am pumped! Wow this is what it's all about, props to Thurman he obviously thought enough is enough and wants to fight the best only. And good on Garcia for finally fighting a big name again. Garcia is damn good and can definitely win I just wish he didn't take some of those soft touches in his career.Comment

I forget half these neggas even exist until a week before they fight.
Haymons fighters have no sort of media presence or activity if they aren't a few weeks from a fight. It's the biggest downfall to his dog ***** run company.
He should of bought boxingscene and had videos and interviews with his fighters talking smack and creating buzz, And he never should of cut off so many boxing reporters from having access to his fighters and from covering his events.
Haymon is brilliant at some things, he's a fcking terrible promoter though.Comment
