Comments Thread For: DeGale: Mayweather Talks Rubbish, Has Big Ego, All About Him

IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale has fired back at some of the recent statements being made by Floyd Mayweather Jr. Last Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York - DeGale fought WBC champion Badou Jack to a twelve round majority draw. The contest was very physical with a lot of fireworks. Jack was down in the first round and DeGale was down in the twelfth.

Saying that he bet on the fight he was promoting, then saying it was fixed diminished what should have been a great night for Floyd.I'd never agree to fight a TMT fighter in Vegas again.

I've said this before and I will say this again... Floyd benefits heavily from not having a lost and having such a successful boxing career. He can make crazy statements and pull others in because of what he was able to accomplish in the ring. With that being said, he is also a promoter and uses controversy to hype fights. He did it when he was a fighter and was very successful. It doesn't surprise me that he is using the same tactic to promote his fighter. Although annoying, his reactions yield money and no one is giving their checks back because they don't agree with himm

Floyd is a bit tacky but he had the right to have an opinion about the fight.

Adrien Broner who is a Floyd ****rider supposedly heard Hearn say that Jack won the fight. Such a reliable source lmao!

Either way it was a great close fight. No one was robbed!! Both were warriors and deserve respect! DeGale also clearly wanted the rematch. He didnt pull a Ward and ducked the rematch cuz he knew it was a robbery

Can understand Mayweather and Jack being upset, it's the 2nd fight in a row they felt Jack should have won and didn't get the decision.

Yeah Mayweather made things too personal, I take it that DeGale sister rejected him or something hahaha but he wasn't wrong in his rant after the fight should've just saved that for the Presser not in the ring on Showtime, let the fighters talk for themselves

Of course it was a robbery, everyone except a few blind mice saw it. In any case everyone knows Eddie Hearn ' s fighters don't lose a decision especially when the IBF is involved. All they need to do is hear the final bell and they will win or draw. EDDIE Hearn is a slime ball who is more corrupt than the devil.

That fight was no damn robbery> It was a close fight and the judges awarded the more flashy fighter.

They traded KD's and went toe to toe. How was that a robbery.
