If Jacobs beats GGG will there be calls for Canelo to fight Jacobs?

Originally posted by Rip Chudd View PostNo it wouldn't. He would lose to Jacobs, then Jacobs and Canelo would fight, and GGG is awarded with the winner having done nothing but lose previously? This isn't Bob Arum's stable where you have to keep cycling through the same few fighters
I meant what you said made sense
And boxing doesn't do sense

If GGG loses, he has to get back in line & earn another title shot.. But Jacobs would be well on his way to the next big star after Canelo in MW or Caneloweight or around 155-165 lbs weight..

It's the story of Trout-Cotto all over again.
Trout won so Canelo-Trout became the better fight. Cotto worked his way back into a position where Canelo-Cotto became a big fight again and then it happened.
Just the same I'd expect Canelo-Jacobs to become the more attractive fight initially if Jacobs wins. But, GGG is both popular and good enough to probably ultimately get the fight anyway.
If by some miracle Jacobs beats both fighters, not sure what would happen.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 01-18-2017, 06:42 PM.

He won't even go near Andrade or the Charlos at 154.
