Rios-Ortiz has no real relevance/ties to the New York market; you add that the grudge match really doesn't move the winner, whomever it may be, into any better fight, and adding it to the bill wouldn't make all that much sense.

StubHub is right there, PBC needs big events to fill in the ESPN/FOX primetime calendars, and Rios-Ortiz is the type of fight that would draw massive attention in the SoCal market.

You're absolutely right. Rios vs Ortiz would ideally be housed in the East Coast. I'm just reflecting on when's the next opportunity on CBS primetime? These guys were supposedly ready for March.

If Thurman wins, I can see him and Spence in a unification fight IF Spence wins the IBF belt.

Man, I hope they put on a good semi main event.
Floyd's not coming back; the winner of Garcia-Thurman is going to be lined up for a big unification fight with the whomever emerges as the IBF champion (Brook-Spence is going to be first, but, if Brook emerges victorious, a fight with Amir Khan, on Sky Box Office, at a UK stadium, trumps every other fight possible, sans a showdown with Floyd Mayweather; if Errol Spence Jr were to win the fight, the Garcia-Thurman winner likely targets the WBA mandatory defense before closing out the year with the unification), likely down the line.

If Spence wins, it is very likely that the effort will be made to see what his own drawing power looks like in Dallas, TX (the adopted home market) and NYC (his birthplace) before mpving towards any unification.

Damn dude you really do hate the sport. I mean Spence doing that is a good thing. Hopefully those people will tune in to all his fights and become fans of guys on the undercard.

I get he is with Floyd and Haymon and you don't like them but geez.

The last thing we need is for non boxing fans to see two clowns like rios and Ortiz on prime time. Let's have two good prospects fight it out on the undercard instead
