Actually, the 15 million being Lil g's biggest payday has EVERYTHING to do with it.

Comparisons with Pac are irrelevant and inaccurate.

Pac was himself a PPV star who brought his own audience and could muster what Floyd was offering as a flat fee in one or two fights.

By contrast, Lil g's CAREER earnings now stand at about 25 million- 15 million is a HUGE chunk for him.

Canelo and GBP owe Golovkin nothing. It isn't their job or concern to treat Lil g "fair" financially.

But really, based on what Gennady has made his whole career, 15 million is more than fair.

If Golovkin had signed the deal to fight Alvarez in September, the Jacobs fight would've likely still happened (the WBA was calling their mandatory defense), but the build to the fight would be far better planned. [Before hurting his hand, the plan was already generally laid out to have Alvarez close/open the year with a fight on regular HBO, with the May and September fights being on PPV]

K2, knowing that the Golovkin fight was for sure happening, would've had the space to put up the money secure the Jacobs and Saunders fights (without the extra layoff) in the run-up to the PPV (with HBO shilling the heck out of Golovkin along the way).

Now, without any coordination, Golovkin is left in the lurch; if the Chavez Jr fight turns out to be a barnburner (or Cotto looks like an utter savage in his coming two fights), any notion that Alvarez would even bother with Golovkin for September gets dumped out the window.
