Energized little guy, lifting the elbows gets your body smashed from an experienced fighter. Hopefully his father brings in a team to work with him instead of the father/son duo.

I doubt it'd be a problem in a pro bout, Ray... you're not factoring in that he'd shoulder barge them into the corner and then hit them in the nuts on the ref's blindside.

What bothers me more is what the ugly ****'s doing out of the house without a paper bag on his head.

I'm just evaluating what I see on a heavy bag. What he does in private is his business and in public his neighbors concerns.

I liked Hatton style I didn't like the fact he was protected while building his career.
If you judged a fighter by his gym performance he was an ATG!
When he moved up to current elites he got dominated.
Maybe his son has more to offer.

Imagine what he did on the bag after ten low blows on the ref's blind side though, Ray... it suddenly seems a lot more effective, doesn't it?

Don't you think being a dish is an important part of beig a boxer?

To be fair, Hatton said that he's only just started training again. Seems like he had trained when he was a bit younger and just got back into it.

I've not even heard of any plans of him to fight or anything. Maybe he's just keeping fit in the gym.

Anyone have a gauge for how big, physically, Campbell Hatton is?

He's made the style look good against the bag, but Hatton's style worked for Hatton because of his physical stockiness and his explosion.

Chavez Jr went into boxing wanting to fight exactly like his father, but he wasn't born with his father's 5'7 150lb frame; he was born into his 6'1 190lb frame, which he still could've incorporated body punching with. Chavez Jr, his father, and the camp should've looked to mold him after guys who had his similar physical gifts, like a Carlos Monzon, and then look to find ways to add the Chavez body assault to that.
