Brook was known in the UK where the market for a Khan fight was. If Khan vs Brook had happened in 2014 prior to Brook becoming champ, it would have still been a huge PPV fight.

Nobody knows who Spence is in the U.S or the UK. What money is he bringing to the table? Brook is not Anthony Joshua, he can't sell 500k PPVs fighting anyone.

    He needs a dance partner.

Don't even compare that stuff. You're just delusional if you think the situation was even remotely the same.

The fight was already huge in 2013, even bigger in 2014. HUGE in 2015 and 2016, slightly less big now but still bigger than a Spence fight could ever in be in anyone's wildest dreams.

Hell, Brook vs Khan would probably be bigger in the US than Spence vs Brook too.
So you said before 2014, and then when I bring up the Promotional debacle and the network(SKY) dropping Khan fight in April-2011, you say don't compare the stuff.
And to say fight was Huge in 2013, I say What's the guarantee that it wouldn't have done 200-300K buys? or less

    • "Yea, who's this 'Spence character' that is my mandatory? Amir Khan, that's the real fight." Are people ducking Spence already?!

What is the point of Brook using the full medical extension if Spence is the last fight he wants to take, I don't think Brook is ducking but he's weighing up the risk vs reward balance with Spence and he doesn't like it.

You would not take this stand if the roles were reversed, that much is obvious. I thought you were an unbiased poster once but it's clear you don't dare swim against the current of bull**** if it's a fighter you like.

I've always been on Brooks side when it came to Khan matters and I said many times that after May and Pac retired he was the man to beat at 147 but it's clear he doesn't fancy the Spence fight. It's extremely hypocritical that he didn't waste anytime fighting the other mandatories.

Continue to embarrass yourself all you like but me I will call it like I see it whether I like the guy or not.
        About sums it up!!

How the hell would I know what the guarantee would be?

But in 2014, it would have done 4-500k probably, now it probably does 600k+.

Mate, let me put this to you straight. Spence has beaten Leonard Bundu and Chris Algieri. That's it.

Khan, even though he might lose to Spence, is proven on the real world level over multiple times. The reality is that Spence is TOTALLY unproven and unknown.

He's said multiple times that if not Khan or Pacquiao, he'd fight Spence. What more do you want? He can't fight before May, we're in January ffs. Get some realism into your skull - it seems thick.

Brook has the time he needs to make a proper decision. He doesn't need to wait for you or Spence or whoever, he has time to wait until late feb, in which time he obviously is trying to secure the Khan fight. If it doesn't happen, he's said multiple times - Even Saturday night, that he'll fight Spence:

So why exactly is it clear he doesn't fancy the Spence fight? What proof on this planet do you have?

            He's medically disallowed from sparring.
The guy took it to GGG in the middle of the ring, and you think he "doesn't fancy" the Spence fight.

Jesus, I don't know which planet your living on, but it sure as hell is not planet earth.

Who did Bizier and Dan beat?

Granted Spence best win of Algieri isn't great but the supposedly much more accomplished Khan struggled badly against him.

Khan came out and said Brook should fight Spence otherwise he's not fighting him, Pacquaio is going to fight Jeff Horn so why are you still talking about those 2, the rest of your post is more fanboyism.

Brook does not sound like he wants to fight Spence, talking of moving to 154 and saying no one knows Spence when in the past he was happy to fight unknown mandatories.

It's getting embarrassing, you're literally a one man fan club arguing on Brooks behalf when his recent comments are worthy of criticism of the skeptics.

You do know Khan Could not have fought Brook in 2014, when he was 1 of the 2 front runners for the Floyd fight. Heck he even signed the contract and therefore was bound as a result.
And his FIRST fight at full welterweight limit was in May2014

                • According to LacedUp let's ignore everything Brook has said recently, he still obviously wants to fight Spence..... you know what let's also ignore everything Khan has been saying, he obviously wants to fight Brook too.

Khan said in 2012 he'd move up to welterweight.
funny he couldn't fight Brook in 2014, but fought twice at welterweight in that year

                    You're making pathetic excuses.

                    • Brook does belong at 154. The problem is that the better fights right now are at 147.
