    did Brook beat someone first?
    Two reasons why.

    1. Monroe was a mw. Brook was a big payday fight. Lara is neither.

    2. If ggg is avoiding lara like you claim, then the only way for lara to make the fight happen is to become mandatory to ggg. GGG will have no choice but to fight or vacate the belt. Otherwise, since lara is not a mw, not a big payday fight, and holds no titles at 160, he does absolutely nothing for ggg.

I think both are decent fight, but neither truly seem to be gunning for ggg.

I also understand that K2 is looking for big fights, Lara isn't that. Charlo may have a better chance.

I hope if Canelo fight happens, that these two are ready. GGG certainly shouldn't wait around until they feel like they're ready.

they are nothing alike, the result of common-opponents faced offers no indication as to how that fight would play out

          flawed logic there

if GGG fought Lara, people would stop calling him a chicken

never heard so many excuses why a fight should NOT happen LMAO

Canelo fought Lara because he heard some fans say that Lara could beat him.....

I didn't hear any silly excuses from Canelo, just saying.....

I think we all know that Golovkin would have to cut Lara off like Canelo tried to. Canelo landed very little on Lara in fact. While triangle theory isn't a sure thing in boxing it's been around forever and certainly wouldn't hurt in the build up. I imagine Golovkin would have to do better than Canelo did for the fight to ever happen, because I thought Lara shaded the Alvarez fight.

Only people like you call Golovkin a chicken. If Canelo fought Lara because a few people said Lara could beat him, why did he drop the title after saying be would fight Golovkin and subject himself to all the abuse he got from alot more people including his countrymen? I mean, it was a lot worse for him in the second case. And there was you talking about logic.

The idea that Lara wants hard fights and challenges these days is wrong, IMO.

He has gotten excellent paydays for his last five opponents - Ishe-Delvin-Zaveck-Vanes-Foreman

That is an abysmal run of fights for a elite-talent fighter.

I agree. Lara can't box and move for a full 12 rounds. Golovkin would punish him when he catches up. Lara also doesn't have the power to keep Golovkin off. It will be similar to the Monroe fight.

The sanctioning bodies have always ranked champs who moved up to the next weight class. If Charlo or Lara moved up now. They would both be ranked in the top five of their respective sanctioning organizations by the time the next ranking comes out.
