I honestly thought after the first time DeGale was intentionally spitting it out to gain a break in the action, it was during times when Jack was coming on..........however the ref let a couple of the instances carry on before breaking.........I can see it either way, if I was Jack I'd be a little irked that it happened 3-4 times with no deduction as well.

Btw I honestly thought Jack won that fight.

So what everyone is saying degale should lose a point for gum shield falling out when he's teeth weren't there to hold it in after the 1st occasion and then jack throws punches after every bell but that's not a problem is it. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

It doesn't matter that he lost his tooth and it hurt to bight down. A boxer can not fight with out a mouthpiece, and if Degale couldn't keep his in, then yes Mcanty could have disqualified him. At the very least a point should have been taken. As far as punching after the bell, one time was right at the bell and the other two or the times it was just after the bell but there was no contact with the other fighter, can't take away a point unless there is actually contact.

Degale has a missing tooth already plus another knocked out. That makes 2 missing which help hold the gum shield in place and therefore makes it easier to fall out! 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other! We can say he should of got a point deducted but he didn't and Jack punched the ref after the bell when he shouldn't be throwing! The bottom line is it was a great fight which nobody deserved to lose and the worse part of the fight was Floyd giving his "it's all about me" speech at the end, I take my hat of to interviewer who said this was great for boxing because he was right
