Roy Jones Jr would have danced around Tyson and Lewis and beaten both.

The Roy that schooled Ruiz would have danced around Prime Tyson and Lewis. Destroy both.

People forget it's abouts peed not power speed is always greater than power and roy had much more handspeed and footspeed compare to tyson and lewis lewis was slow for a big guy and tyson carried 220 pounds on a 5'10 frame that is way too many pounds t move around effectively roy would have danced to a ud.

I don't think that Roy had a glass jaw at heavyweight either. He only had a weak chin at LHW and at CW. At MW and HW his chin was granite.

He was too scared to even face a shot Tyson so what makes you think he would go anywhere near a prime tyson? Lol

He could have faced Tyson after the Ruiz fight but he punked out.

No. Absolutely not. If you are making the argument that Tyson carried too much weight to move effectively in his prime, you are willfully ignoring the evidence of observation or you just didn't see much of anything from Tyson in his prime and assumed his face tattoo era is reflective of his earlier years. As for Lewis? I'm sorry, but speed or not, Lewis had one of the best jabs in heavyweight history. Would have controlled the distance, and toyed with RJJ. Don't get me wrong, I like Roy Jones Jr, but this is just absurd.

And your argument that his chin was granite at MW, got weak at LHW and CW, but then became like a rock again at HW? Give me a break.

I'm one of Roy's biggest fans, but no.

Roy will tell you himself that he could never have kept a prime version of Mike off of him. Not a chance.

        Lennox was too big.

I would honestly have given the Ruiz version of Roy a chance of beating Mike from 2003-2005 though.

OP must be talking about Tyson Fury.

Not Mike Tyson, that would be blasphemous.

He didn't punk out at all.

In 2003, the fight wasn't feasible for numerous reasons, and then both guys got stopped the following year in 2004.

To compare Ruiz to Tyson or Lewis ridiculous.
The difference is Tyson and Lewis have the punches to stop a Jones who has no power against them.
He simply can't use his athletic ability against top tier heavyweights.
If you think Jones can actually compete with top tier men I have prime real estate for you in Southwest Florida! Cheap!

Who ever made this Thread is a complete idiot and knows nothing of boxing. Jones was knock out 3 times by Light Heavies Tyson and Lewis were one of the hardest punchers in the Heavy weight divison

Ruiz was one of the worst world heavyweight title belt holders in history and that's why Jones picked him to fight instead of the real champion, Lewis. I don't think Jones would last more than a round or two with a prime Tyson or Lewis. Tyson vs. Michael Spinks is exhibit A. Jones was a great fighter, just not that great.
