    Morales picks Paquiao over Larios

Erik Morales says his compatriot, Oscar Larios, does not have enough of what it takes to beat Manny Pacquiao, adding, that Larios' only chance is if Pacquiao climbs the ring on fight night out of shape. Morales said, Larios is not in Paquiao's class.

In an interview with Dyan Castillejo in San Diego, CA, where Morales currently resides, Morales also asserted that it was not Pacquiao's punches that beat him. He said, he beat himself as he was not quite ready during their second meeting. He said., Pacquiao's punches were much stronger during their first encounter and that he was never really bothered by the Filipino's punches in the first five rounds of their second meeting. He claimed he was far ahead on points at the end of round 5 but started to really get tired in round 6.

Morales said he looks forward to their third encounter, promising likewise to give Pacquiao one good drubbing thereby putting finis to Pacquiao's fame, which, he said, only came about as a result of how their last fight ended.

I wish more fighters were honest like Ricky Hatton and admit they were hurt. Hell, I got hurt just looking at Morales' battered nose.

I really hope Morales pulls out the victory in their third meeting.I know that is reaching. But what can I say?Im a Morales fan,an upset win over Pacquaio in their third fight would be huge for his career.I refuse to beleive that Erik is done just yet.

As he should, yes, he should want his belt back. But it's only an "International" belt that's going to be at stake--something some posters here call "glorified contender" status.

Know whats the best move Morales can do right now?I think he needs to waive his fight in November with Manny. Then he can get a tune-up himself to get his confidence going.

That will pave the way for PAC-BARRERA 2.And after PAC destroys Barrera again, MORALES-PAC 3 can happen in March or April, but this time for the legit WBC belt!
