Yeah, but he can't be #1 at LHW..
Isn't it weird that Badou Jack is going to LHW?

I find it strange that Badou Jack is so insistent on going to LHW. Maybe he already have a deal with Stevenson for big money with Haymon or whatever, but it's really strange imo for a couple of reasons:
1) He did not looked depleted at all
2) He was incredibly strong down the stretch
3) He was clearly incredibly fit - and threw more punches as the rounds went on + finished off the 12th superbly.
And this is against the #1 ranked super middleweight in the world.
Doesn't that seem a bit strange?Comment

Some people on here are saying "Why would he want to move up? He didn't look weakened". Well how the hell do we know if he wasn't weakened? Maybe he would have looked a lot better if the fight was contested a few pounds higher. Maybe he did feel drained in this fight. Why has he been talking about moving up for the last few fights? He's obviously having issues at SMW.Comment

Don't think people here haven't watched boxing for long enough to know when weight drains have an effect on a fighter.Comment

I think it is weird that there are so many threads on a bumass fighter like Jack. 15 years ago nobody would have been talking about this guy. Just shows what kind of state boxing is in..smhComment

If he's adamant about moving up and saying that he's having a real problem making weight how can we disregard that and ask him to stay at SMW? Do we know how it's effecting him more than he knows?Comment
