Comments Thread For: Jack, Mayweather Agree There's No Need for Rematch With DeGale

NEW YORK As competitive and entertaining as the James DeGale-Badou Jack fight was Saturday night, don't expect to see a rematch. Both boxers told Showtime's Jim Gray they'd fight again after their majority draw was announced in the ring. Later, howerver, Jack and his promoter, Floyd Mayweather Jr., made it clear in the post-fight press conference early Sunday morning that they're not interested in DeGale-Jack II.

Was a great fight. I'm ok with a draw. But you know damn well had this fight been in England it would probably be like a 119-109 score for DeGale. Over there you have to KO or absolutely dominate to get at least a close decision in your favor. Glad Jack has decided to move up. However I don't see him beating Kovalev, Ward, nor Beterbiev. He does have a chance with the protected Stevenson though.

agreed, seems as if for every close fight people are demanding rematches. im not a fan of immediate rematches anyway cause they end up looking pretty similar. both fighters emerged with credit last night, impossible to seperate, let them move on and lets see how they do against other fighters.
