Tbe Inglewood, CA-based Forum Boxing says it has dumped the brothers Marquez upon learning that their managers, Jaime Quintana and Ignacio Berestain, were conducting negotations with Forum on bad faith.
John Jackson, Forum Boxing President said, his company had found out that Berestain and Quintana were talking with other promotions outfits even as the negotiations with his company were nearing conclusion. He added that his company did not seek out the Marquezes; indeed, it was Berestain and Quintana who asked Forum to take on the brothers.
Jackson also said lawyers are considering various actions that are available to Forum Boxing.
Earlier, it was announced that Rafael Marquez had inked a contract with Gary Shaw. Juan Manuel's next move remains unknown.
