Comments Thread For: Jason Sosa's Promoter Would Love Orlando Salido Showdown

For the time being WBA 130-pound titlist Jason Sosa (20-1-4, 15 KOs) has a blank 2017 itinerary. "We don't have anything scheduled, right now,''his promoter, Russel Peltz admitted to BoxingScene.com in a recent interview. "Eric Gomez (president of Golden Boy Promotions) had called me a few months ago to fight (Francisco) Vargas and I said 'yes' and we never heard from him again."

Salido doesn't really make for disappointing fights, pairing him up with Sosa would probably be a good fight. I think Salido is waiting for a rematch with Vargas which I dont blame him for. It would probably make him more money and who doesn't want to see those 2 go at it again.

Salido isn't going to take the fight. He's waiting on the winner of Berchelt vs. Vargas. Then he'd look to cash out vs. Lomachenko.

Make it happen!!!!!! That, as indicated by others in this forum, is DEFINITELY, 100%, FOTY candidate. Mexico-Puerto Rico fight between two scrappy, willing-to-engage fighters... Like I said earlier, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!! To be honest, I'd rather pay for this fight than pay for the Cotto-Kirkland PPV. No disrespect to Miguel Cotto (or James Kirkland) but, their fight is NOT PPV worthy any way I look at it. Just my humble opinion.
